Which Way Westward Will We Build follows the historical debate that began in 1871 and led to the decision of which route to use for the proposed Canadian Pacific Railway that would bring British Columbia into Confederation.
This download supports the Music/Social Studies resource "Our Place Called Canada". This video features a word display for use on classroom media equipment and an instrumental accompaniment. The instrumental track begins with an eight-beat intro and the boldface words indicate the strong beat at the beginning of each line. There is no interlude once the Rap-style poem begins, so students will need to keep it going!
